Hotel Torre del Mar is organising the charity dinner for the benefit of ASPANOB (Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Balearic Islands) on Friday, July 19 on the terrace La Plage.
The gala menu will bring together some of the most iconic dishes and elaborations of the gastronomy of the Torre del Mar hotel, with the RestoBar Miramar as the main banner. The dinner will be served by the sea and under the starry sky of Playa d’en Bossa, in the hotel’s gardens, and will be animated with live music.
The charity dinner will be priced at 100 euros, an amount that will go entirely to ASPANOB, an association that works to improve the quality of life of children with cancer in the Balearic Islands and their families who, in most cases, have to travel to Palma de Mallorca for treatment. The association covers all the needs of these families, such as lodging in Palma or subsistence allowances, among others.
Juana Maria Torres, manager of the hotel, said at a press conference: “For all of us at the Torre del Mar hotel it is a pleasure to present this solidarity dinner with ASPANOB, a pleasure to help, within our means, to improve the quality of life of children suffering from this disease and their families. We encourage you all to make July 19 a magical night, a delicious dinner, a privileged place and with a wonderful purpose.”
“As an association, we are very grateful to the Torre del Mar Hotel for giving us this great space to hold this charity dinner for the benefit of ASPANOB. We will use the funds to maintain the shelter apartments we have so that the families feel at home and if necessary we will also cover their per diems. In addition, in the case of unstructured families or those who need other types of help, ASPANOB is always there for them. That is why we have a great team of professionals, we have psychologists in Ibiza, Menorca and Palma to cover all the needs of these families”, explains Jaume Coll Sureda, president of the ASPANOB and ASAMDIB Association.
